Compromise--Pill for all problems?

We had a DVD service man come over to our house. We were discussing about the various features of the DVD we had bought. We got so carried off, that the service guy(SG from now on) finally (got rather frustrated and) told us that we need to comprise at some point. He very casually said-Compromise solves all issues.

The above statement got me thinking. What he said made lots of sense. From childhood, we make lot of compromises and adjustments. From what we eat, wear, study, friends, the job we take, the life partner we choose etc..It goes to level wherein we compromise so many things in life for the sake of our offsprings.

Once we understand the power of compromise, I think to some extent we can improve the success quotient in our lives. Calling truce does help and I am actually grateful to the SG for reminding me of this great concept...

Jodhaa Akbar-Review

The movie was a good change from the normal hindi films.A good one from both the historical as well as from the masala flick point of view. Where, on one side, there was Jodha..with most transparent of clothes, on the other side was the unbelievable fight of Akbar with the elephant...Camera tricks or not, the fight was fantabulous. The extravaganca in the movie was breathtaking. The sets, the costume, the jewellery, the cast, the dialogues and the songs were good...

Kehne ko jashn was very well sung..by Sonu?---a job well done

Manmohana---leaves the mothers, aunts and mothers in law in tears....

Aisimo shan---the group formations in this song was out of the world...

In short, the movie was a Mughal e asam ,Cleopatra feel....

A well spent 4 hours...
